Rotary Steam Tube Dryer

Glorinda offers advanced Rotary Steam Tube Dryers, designed for efficient and indirect heating. The system includes a rotating cylindrical shell with steam tubes placed inside. These tubes carry steam or other heating media along their full length to transfer heat to the material indirectly.

As the shell rotates, the raw material is lifted, mixed, and gently moved through the dryer. The system is slightly inclined so that dried material moves by gravity toward the discharge point. At the same time, vapor (from the evaporated liquid) exits the dryer along with a small amount of carrier gas—usually inert gas.

How It works

  • Steam enters the system through a rotary joint and flows into a central header.

  • The steam tubes inside the rotating shell transfer heat to the material.

  • Moisture is evaporated, and the resulting vapor is removed using a minimal amount of air or inert gas.

  • The same system can be adapted for cooling by passing water through the tubes.
